How to record, transcribe and summarise a meeting with AI
Meetings in the AI Solve Quiz app records a lecture, a discussion or a call — or takes an audio file you already have — and turns it into a transcript, a short summary and a list of action items. Recording carries on while you use other apps or lock the screen, and nothing is charged until you ask for the summary.
What you can make
Lectures and seminars
Record the class and revise from the summary instead of the whole hour — the transcript is there when you need the exact wording.
Team calls and standups
Keep the decisions and who agreed to what, so the notes are written by the time the call ends.
Interviews and group discussions
Detail mode labels the speakers, so a transcript of several voices says who was talking.
Audio you already have
Upload a voice memo or a recording made in another app and get the same transcript and summary.
Step by step
- 1
Open Meetings
In the app, go to Home and tap Meetings under Personal. The list keeps every recording you have not deleted.
- 2
Record, or upload a file
Tap “Tap to record” to start, or “Upload an audio file” to bring one in. A single recording can run up to 90 minutes.
- 3
Leave it running
Recording continues when you switch apps or lock the screen, and the notification carries Pause and Stop. Tap the title while it records to name the meeting.
- 4
Stop & save
Tap Stop & save. The file is written on your phone first and uploaded after, so a dropped connection does not lose the recording.
- 5
Pick Simple or Detail, then see the price
Simple gives the transcript and the summary. Detail adds speaker labels and needs the Unlimited plan. Both prices are on screen before you agree to one — nothing is charged while you look.
- 6
Read it, then use it
You get the summary, the action items and the full transcript. From there, Generate document turns it into a PDF, Word or PowerPoint file, and Share creates a private link.

Tips for better results
- Put the phone near whoever is talking. A distant or muffled voice is the one thing a transcript cannot recover later.
- Name the meeting while it records — in a list of recordings, the name is all there is to tell them apart.
- Choose Detail when several people talk and it matters who said what. For one lecturer, Simple says the same thing for less.
- Read the summary against the transcript before you send it to anyone. It is a draft of what was said, not a record of it.
- Export the audio if you need to keep it: our copy is deleted after 30 days, while the transcript and summary stay.
Use it to learn
Recording other people is your responsibility. Tell everyone in the room or on the call that you are recording, follow the rules where you live and study — in some places every person has to agree — and do not record a class, an exam or a private conversation where it is not allowed.
